One hundred to two hundred: Da Nang's home ground
This is the size Da Nang was built for. The beach road carries several resorts with over a hundred rooms and ballrooms measured in hundreds of square metres, the convention centre next to them was built for two thousand, and the airport is fifteen minutes away. The constraint is not whether the city can take you; it is whether the right ballroom is free in the week you want.
What 100 to 200 needs, and who has it
Two hundred delegates seated at rounds need roughly 440 m² and 106 rooms in one property on the same dates. On the My Khe and Non Nuoc beach road several resorts clear that comfortably, and for a plenary or a dealer conference beyond a hotel's own ballroom the Ariyana Convention Centre — the APEC 2017 venue — sits on the same road. In June and July, when domestic demand peaks, the list of properties with both the rooms and the ballroom free shrinks to a handful.

The function space is what runs out, not the rooms. For a fixed date at this size we secure the ballroom and build the room block around it, even across two neighbouring properties if that is what the week allows.
Arrivals in waves, fifteen minutes from the runway
A group of 150 comes in on three or four flights across an afternoon. Da Nang makes that manageable in a way Phu Quoc or Nha Trang do not: the airport is inside the city, and a coach reaches the beach hotels in fifteen to twenty minutes, so waves can be met one at a time without a bus waiting for the last flight.

The lowest per-head cost of any band, bought with the longest lead time and the least flexibility: moving dates at ninety days out is a real problem for 180 delegates in a way it is not for 40.

How big can a single-property group be in Da Nang?
The largest beachfront resorts seat 400 to 800 at a banquet and the convention centre takes far more in plenary, so 200 sits well inside the ceiling. Above 250 we survey the site before quoting, because the pinch point moves from the ballroom to arrivals, catering flow and coordinator numbers.
How early must we commit?
Ninety days, and a hundred and twenty for June and July. The domestic peak and the city's own events take the same ballrooms.
Can the group be split across two hotels?
Yes, and on the beach road it works because neighbouring properties are a few minutes apart. One hosts all shared meals and the gala; budget for extra coordinators and a shuttle, and accept two breakfasts.
Is a site inspection worth it?
